Again, I think things come to you when you are ready. Connor has been doing so great. Saying and doing new things daily. I was asked the other day if I would consider Connor recovered. I know he is not typical yet because he still obsesses about things and has trouble focusing. He still has things that make him autistic for sure, but I try to not take for granted how far he has come, even though I know I do sometimes.
After reading Jenny McCarthy's latest book, "Mother Warriors", I became fixated on Stan Kurtz's story about recovering his son with Valtrex. Valtrex is an antiviral medication. I had heard about this years ago, but it wasn't our time. It just felt wrong. Now it feels very right. I talked to Connor's DAN! doc yesterday again about doing it. The doc knows by now that once I want something to happen, I don't stop until I get it. I am not a patient person when it comes to Connor's recovery. The doctor decided it was the right thing for Connor.
I listened to a very interesting radio broadcast yesterday. It was Stan Kurtz talking about how he came to use Valtrex and why he thinks it works so well for our kids. He hypothesizes that once the body is rid of the viruses, it can then chelate (rid itself) of metals naturally. Some people think that viruses actually hold on to the metals and don't allow us to detox them. Very interesting to say the least.

I decided to start this protocol on Connor over Thanksgiving break. Sometimes kids have a detox period and going through this out of school seems best. Wish us luck.
Please check-out Stan Kurtz's website "Recovery Videos". It is amazing and has a lot of wonderful information. http://www.autismrecoveryvideos.org/

That is great that you are trying it. I never head about it but it makes sense. Get rid of viruses, chelate and then oxygenize (did I even spell that right?). I can't wait to hear how it goes!
I have seen Stan Kurtz recovery video of his son. It is truly amazing and you cannot deny how much his son changed.
We are doing antiviral treatment for Natalie starting one week ago; she is taking olive leaf extract twice a day; it tastes really nasty and you have to burn off the alcohol. If the olive leaf extract doesn't pack enough of a punch, then her DAN says we will do Valtrex.
